All reports out of St. Louis seem to show Rams defensive end Michael Sam has been a good fit in the locker room so far while he tries to become the first active gay player in NFL history.
Now that final roster cuts are quickly approaching, Sam will be under even more intense scrutiny moving forward.
On Tuesday, ESPN's Josina Anderson gave a report from Rams training camp. One of the subject matters: Sam's showering habits.
Update: Aug. 26 at 3:20 p.m. ET
St. Louis Rams defensive end Chris Long has responded to ESPN's report regarding Michael Sam's showering habits.
Anderson said an unnamed defensive player claimed Sam was waiting to take a shower "as to not make his teammates feel uncomfortable," which the player found as a way of "respecting our space."
Anderson said Rams defenders Kendall Langford and Alec Ogletree told her that they hadn't noticed and weren’t tracking his showering habits.
